Traditional Bengali Recipes by Rinku Sinha Burma with Geetika Ganju

This Thursday in the week 4 of Kent Presents Sehat Ki Rasoi, two unique recipes are being curated by food blogger Rinku Sinha Burma, who is famous for her blog http://www.wowpalate.com where she primarily posts typical Bong Dishes which she takes pain to research and curate on her own. Kaccha Kolar Kosha Bata is the recipe where raw banana peel is boiled and blended with spices and then seasoned with onion seeds. A dish which is rich in iron and fibre and can be eaten with rice or luchi. Rinku also cooks drumsticks chorchori, a dry vegetable preparation made of healthy Moringa sticks which is also called Soijana in common hindi parlance. Moringa is very rich in nutrition and Antioxidants. It may Lower Blood Sugar Levels. ..can Reduce Inflammation and lower cholestrol. Being so healthy, it is an imperative vegetable to have in Indian cuisine and can be put in sambhar, plain daal ( mostly moong), made into mix vegetables like Aviyal, can be cooked with potatoes and tomato gravy and ofcourse made with mustard gravy in many communities.
